Play Like a Pro! What is TPI?

TPI is the world's leading educational organization dedicated to the study of how the human body functions in relation to the golf swing.

Since its inception in 2003, TPI has studied thousands of golfers ranging from the top professional Tour players to weekend enthusiasts. An incredible amount of data on players of all shapes, sizes, ages, and fitness levels has been gathered during this time. Using this data, TPI discovered how a properly functioning body allows a player to swing a golf club in the most efficient way possible. Additionally, TPI has analyzed how physical limitations in a player’s body can adversely affect the golf swing and potentially lead to injury.

Swing your Swing! (I am not a swing coach)

Everyone has their own unique swing, and it should remain unique. But, there is one efficient way for every player to swing and it is based on what the player can physically do. That’s where golf fitness and training comes in. Whether or not you have a swing coach, a TPI Certified Fitness Professional adds what every swing needs. Mobility, stability, and separation of upper and lower body. Power and speed can only come if your body is geared for it. Swing your swing? Yes. But let’s make it the most efficient, safe, and effective swing possible!

THE BIG 12

Swing Characteristics that Cause Injury and Higher Scoring

There are 12 common swing faults that affect the golfers ability to efficiently move through the swing sequence. Over time, these swing faults can cause injury, and make lower scores seem impossible.

You go to a swing coach and make adjustments, but your body is still not responding to what you’re learning. Your fitness needs to catch up. Not only do you need to practice your golf technique, you also need to exercise your mind and body to achieve a strong, efficient swing, with no distractions or road blocks.
